LOUISE
BODY STEP/RPM/BODY ATTACK INSTRUCTOR

Born and bred in the Hawke's Bay I moved to Wellington in 1999 to further my career. I am now happily married to Richard, who is also a member of the gym. We have one daughter and live locally.

I have been a member of Jenkins Gym since 2004.
I started training to be an instructor not long after joining. Being an instructor has always been a personal goal of mine, as I was always a XL girl. I have always loved exercising but love my food just as much, sometimes to much.  In 2001, I joined Weight Watchers and worked hard for the next 2 years to lose 47kg's. I am now working hard to get back to my goal weight through healthy eating and hard training.
I am passionate about exercise and hope to spread some of my passion onto members here by coaching great classes.

I like to think of myself as an open, enthusiastic and honest person who is approachable. So please come and chat to me if you see me around the gym.

She enjoys spending time with family & friends as well as instructing Body Attack!

Her training tip to us all is put in what you want to get out!

Be sure to check out one of her classes today!

MARTIN
RPM & BODY PUMP INSTRUCTOR

Martin joined the team in October 2006 as a RPM instructor and in November 2007 added Body Pump to his repertoire.

When not at the gym Martin works with his partner Suzi selling Real Estate in Lower Hutt.

I never saw myself as a gym type person until I got hooked on RPM. Before I knew it I was struggling my way through 3 classes a week & when the opportunity came to teach … I jumped at it. It was the same with Body Pump, I still remember struggling my way through the lunges and it was only the music & the instructor & that got me through.

I'm a huge group fitness fan, I always struggled with the monotony of circuit workouts and group fitness does the business for me – all I have to do is turn up & the instructor & music do the rest.

I try to encourage participants to do that little bit extra. In RPM, to ride with a little more resistance and in Pump, to try a little more weight, to get out of the "comfort zone".
