How to book a group fitness class

Tap ‘Continue to Skip’ if you are not using a Myzone Belt. If you are, add the belt number located on the back of the device.
On the Jenkins Gym Myzone app.
From the home page tap on the hamburger icon (bottom right corner of screen) to locate ‘My Classes’, tap ‘in person’ top left.
At the top scroll along and tap on the day, scroll down to find your class and tap ‘Book’ on the class you want to attend
You may cancel a class by going into the class and tap ‘Cancel’
NB: You can only book 24hrs prior to classes starting.
An i (information) icon is located under each class do give a description of programs.

What should I bring with me when I workout?
Bring your membership card or 24 hour key for a quick check in. You should also have a small towel, sneakers, and comfortable clothing for your workout. You may also want to bring a water bottle with you or drinks can be purchased at reception.
What equipment is available at Jenkins Gym?
We have over 30 pieces of cardio equipment, strength training equipment including Hammer strength, TRX synergy360, Nexersys and free weights.
How often should I exercise?
As a beginner, three times per week is sufficient in order to see benefits. During those visits strength training (takes approximately 30 minutes) and cardiovascular exercise (at least 20 minutes) should be adequate. Once you've been exercising at least six weeks, you can intensify your workouts. Strength training can be increased based on your level and cardiovascular exercise can be increased by time and/or intensity or you can add more days.
Does the gym offer personal training or small group training?
Yes we do please contact club for details and costings.
What about child minding?
Yes, we have a Kids Club. As a busy mum, dad, grandparent or guardian finding time to go to the gym can be a real challenge. Jenkins Gym makes it easy with our Kids Club open 5 days a week from 9am to 11am. Cost is as little as $6 per child or free access with our Kids club memberships options.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, members that would like to bring a friend it's just a $20 guest fee.
Do you have indoor cycling classes? If so, do they cost?
Yes, Top Ride is our program and it runs 12 times per week. And no, there is no extra cost for those on selected memberships.
How young can a child join Jenkins Gym?
Children as young as 13 years of age can become a member with a parents' or guardians' approval and signature. They need to be accompanied with a guardian up until the age of 15 years. Minors can only train within staffed hours. We do offer specialty classes for 3-5, 5-8 and 9-12 years old at least once per week; our goal is to remind kids at a young age the importance of moving, as well as supporting the parents while on their fitness journey together.
Can I upgrade my membership?
You can upgrade your membership during staffed hours.
Do we have group fitness classes?
Yes, on selected memberships you can access all group fitness classes & Top Ride classes for free.
How long will it take to start to see results?
The moment you start an exercise plan you are seeing some (if not the full) benefits of a structured fitness regimen. You will start to increase circulation and burn calories. As far as the overall results of increasing strength, reducing inches, losing fat, etc., it will take at least 4-6 weeks of regular exercise – followed by continuous improvements.
